Procedure to Connect Samsung Mobile Phones to PC for Internet Access via Kies / Samsung PC Studio by Rayees Rehman Mir.
Today I’m going to be show/learn you how to connect your Samsung Mobile to the internet using Samsung PC Studio or Kies.
Note: First read this full article then choose any Way/Method, you find easy to get started.
Many people were asking me how to connect Samsung mobile to PC for internet then i decide to put this post on my site because I am not getting enough time to explain them individually via phone calls, mails, chat etc.
FIRST WAY, Now connect internet to PC using Samsung phone via Samsung KIES:
Now I am going to give you the Step by Step procedure to be followed to connect SAMSUNG Phones to PC for Internet Access:
Step I: Firstly get Samsung Kies from Samsung Official Website by Clicking here
The file size is 66 MB approx.
Step II: Now Install Kies.
Step III: Then in your phone, go to Settings --->Phone Settings --->PC Connections and select Samsung Kies
Step IV: Connect your phone to PC while the Phone is not locked, and your phone will get "connected" to your PC
Step V: Now Run Kies on your PC
Step VI: Kies will now open for Connecting the Phone Modem!
Step VII: Click on Settings
Step VIII: Select Widget
Step IX: Tick the Tethering Widget
Step X: Click on APPLY and then on OK
Step XI: Move the bar to the right and click the "Tethering" globe icon
Step XII: Click on Settings Icon
Step XIII: In "Connection Name" type a name of your operator or anything else you want.
Set country to "Other" and network provider to "Other".
In APN name select your network providers APN, you can find it in the "Access" block of your Internet Profiles in internet settings of your phone.
And Now Click on OK.
Step XIV: Now click on “Connect” button and your Net will get connected and Enjoy.
SECOND WAY, Now connect internet to PC using Samsung phone via Samsung New PC Studio:
Please make sure that you have a strong internet connection as the Samsung NPS download is quite heavy coming in at about 165MB than Samsung Kies.
NOTE: - First check your modem for right access point.
Step I: Download and Install Samsung New PC Studio. Here’s a Direct Download Link
Don't download, if u have CD of this PC suite/already installed in your PC.
Step II: When the Download will complete install it on your PC.
Step III: Once the installation is complete, open the software and connect your phone via USB cable to your computer. When your phone prompts you, select PC Studio. As soon as the computer recognizes your phone, it will immediately pop up to the right of the screen.
By the default, the Samsung NPS Internet Connector is deactivated and as such will have to be activated before we can connect to the internet.
Step IV: Click on Widget Settings, add the Internet Connector widget and hit the OK button.
The Internet Connector widget should now be shown alongside other widgets. If it doesn’t appear, you’d have to scroll a little to the right to see it as you might be having too many widgets which are blocking it from being seen at once.
Now question is how to configure the Samsung New PC Studio Internet Settings?
Click on the Internet Connector Widget ====> Menu =====> Connection Settings
Samsung NPS by default comes with the internet settings of some countries and networks already configured. If your country is not listed, you’d have to manually configure it.
I’m going to assume that your country is not listed in the software.
Hit the + button beside Select connection settings then start filling in the slots.
1. Connection Name: The name of your network
2. Select Country: select other.
3. Network Provider: Other
4. APN Name: your network’s APN E.g. (airtelgprs.com) is used for Indian Airtel.
5. Phone number: *99#
6. User ID: blank
7. Password: blank
8. Click on Add.
Your newly setup Samsung internet connection settings should now appear. Click the OK button to return to the Internet Connector widget.
To connect to the internet, click on Connect then answer yes to the pop-up that follows.
Wait a few seconds for Samsung’s New PC Studio to find your network and then your internet is connected.
To disconnect from the internet, hit the disconnect button.
